Finally, I’m done watching G.I. Joe together with my friends. As we were expecting, there’s a heavy crowd and we have to our best just to buy our tickets. We even saw a lady shouting and keep on complaining about the improper lining system implemented in that cinema.

Well, we can’t blame her because she’s actually saying the truth. We witnessed how heavy the crowd was and witnessed that they were not prioritizing that much with their public guidance system. I guess they should start implementing line management system and proper public guidelines with the use of some crowd control products to prevent any possible unwanted situations like riots or even stampede. Crowd control products help people stay in lines at the bank, for concerts, political events, at the grocery store and anywhere someone needs an orderly line. There will be no more complaints and everything will fall into one place, systematized and very well-organized.

A high traffic area like cinema should be using Metal Barriers or barricades to control the heavy crowd or they can also use some portable post or stanchions fixed with decorative velvet rope to implement line management and public guidance within the area. Biko is one of my favorite snacks. It's one of the traditional Filipino snacks or dessert during special occasions like birthdays, parties, fiestas, and Christmas. It's a sweet made with glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk and a caramel topping.

Ingredients are the following:

2 cups of kaning malagkit ( sticky rice )
3/4 cup of sugar
3 1/2 cups of diluted coconut milk
1/8 lb of butter

Biko Topping:

1 can of 15 oz. condensed milk
3/4 cup of rich coconut milk
2-3 tablespoon of flour for quick thickening

Directions:

1. Grate and squeeze out milk from 2 coconuts. Save 3/4 cup of the first milk squeezed out (rich milk) for topping.

2. Dilute the rest of the coconut milk to make 3 1/2 cups. Or use 1 can (12 ounces) frozen coconut milk, saving 3/4 cup of the thick milk for topping and diluting the rest to make 3 1/2 cups.

3. Boil rice and coconut milk in a heavy pot stirring constantly to keep from burning (15 to 20 minutes).

4. When the rice is done and almost dry, lower the heat and add the sugar and butter. Mix well and set aside. When cool, add the egg.

3. Spread the rice mixture in a well buttered dish (11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4 inch) and bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for 20 minutes.

4. Prepare the topping. Combine all topping ingredients in a heavy saucepan and cook over low heat stirring constantly until thick (15 minutes). Pour topping over rice mixture in dish. Increase oven heat to 350 degrees.

5. Bake until top is brown (15 minutes.). Serve and eat.

It's me Norms at Toronto Centre Islands. We explore and having a picnic here last June 28, Saturday from ten o'clock in the morning to five o'clock in the evening. It was an awesome experiences together with my sister, niece, brother in law with friends and their family. There is no fixed road link from the mainland to the Toronto Islands, so therefore we rode on ferry boats and it was an amazing trip. I enjoyed so much and hope to visit soon there.

Pork adobo is the most simplest recipe I know. It is one of the best Filipino dish serve during dinner at home or even during parties. That's one of my son's favorite food adobo with rice and coke. That's why we love to cook adobo at home and I can easily cook that recipe by following these ingredients and procedures:

Ingredients:

1/3 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
3 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 pounds pork cut into
2-inch cubes
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sugar

Procedures:

All you have to do is to combine all the ingredients except the meat and oil in a medium saucepan that is not aluminum. Add the meat to the sauce and marinate for at least 30 minutes. Then simmer, covered for 1 hour or until the meat is tender. Remove the meat and reserve the sauce. Heat the oil in the skillet and brown the meat in all sides of the skillet. Drain off the excess oil. Add the reserved sauce to the meat and heat for a few minutes, stirring and scraping the sides of the skillet. Serve with rice.

Summer is a lot of fun. The time for us to travel together with friends and family. Like me, I went Niagara falls again together with my friend Erma and Glory. We stayed near the falls at the most elegant hotel. It's overlooking the falls and it's very beautiful at night. We roamed around the city and shopping too. One of my favorite actress is Angel Locsin. I love watching all her teleserye or movies. I can still remember her movie on television entitled Lobo. The best episode that makes me exciting was the time when Lyka was having trouble raising the stone because of her wounds, Remus’s stone temporarily shuts down, killing a number of weaker lobos. Lyka pleads the stone to save them and it did blaze again. The stone manages to beat the deadly radiance of the red moon. Remus congratulates Lyka for saving their race but warned her that there we’re several mistakes that were been committed. Those mistakes can cause more mayhem than the “Pulang Buwan” itself. Lyka was unconscious and drops the stone to the ground, Anton took it after Lyka and Noah left. From being pure white, the color of the stone became part black and part white.

Silva managed to escape by deceiving Gaby. Meanwhile Noah and Lyka were taken back to Elle’s house. Both sustained serious wounds but they were on stable conditions. Nana Sela foresees that despite their success of defeating the “Pulang Buwan” the Lobos are in for gloomier and dangerous times ahead. According to the old woman, the fate of the Lobo race depends on the “Huling Bantay”, on how she would be able to correct the mistakes. Nana Sela also expresses that it is time for her and Lyka to meet.

Silva rushed back to the lab and asked Anton for Lyka’s blood but instead of injecting blood, Anton gave Silva a lethal injection.

My Son's Graduation Day

As a mother I'm very proud of him being a courageous and obedient son. Just continue to grow study hard and follow your dreams, take care and congratulation my little boy. Of all the laptop displayed in future shop, this Toshiba with 2 gbs memory with web cam impressed me a lot. My money is not enough to buy for this kind of unit. To my surprised my mom volunteered to paid the laptop and she told me that's my Christmas gift from her.

Maria Corazon Cojuanco Aquino serve as the 11th President of the Philippines from year 1986 to 1992. Madam Cory was the first female president of the Philippines and also the Asia's first female president.

I am sad to the demise of our former Philippine President Cory Aquino who died on Saturday August 01 at 3:18 a.m. after suffering from colon cancer. She is the beloved democracy icon who swept away a dictator and inspired nonviolent resistance to autocratic rule.

Let us also pray for his bereaved family during this time of the loss of her loved one. My condolences to the Aquino family.

Sipa game or kick football is one of the most traditional and the national game in the Philippines. I love this game so much because I was one of the Sipa coaches before when I was in the Philippines. This game is best for male and needs two or more male players with kicking skills. Like badminton, you can play by singles, doubles or quadruples. The game is both played by two teams, indoors or outdoors, on a court that is about the size of a tennis court. The teams consist of one, two or four players in each side. The aim of the game is to kick a soft ball made out of rattan fragments, back and forth over a net in the middle of the court. The sport requires speed, agility and ball control. Originally, the rattan Sipa ball was 10 centimeters in diameter and made of woven rattan strips with symmetrical holes. The most defining feature of the game of Sipa is that the ball should only be touched with the legs anywhere from below the knee to the tip of the toes. The rattan ball can touch the ground.

Beef Steak

Aside from pork, the most expensive and very popular meat in the Philippines are beef. We Filipinos loves to cook beef during fiesta, wedding, parties and also at home serve at the table during dinner. One of my favorite beef recipe is beefsteak. It is very common for us Filipino to cook beefsteak and I'd love to share the basic recipe of beefsteak. If you are interested to cook beefsteak just follow the basic ingredients and procedure and I'm sure you love to eat it.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoon lemon juice
4 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 pounds broil steak sliced into strips
2 cups onions, sliced thin
3 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved into 2 tablespoons water

Procedure:

Combine the lemon juice, soy sauce, salt, sugar and water in a cup. Pour the mixture over the beef slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes. In a skillet, saute the onions in the oil until they are transparent. Add the beef and marinade liquid to the onions and stir - fry over high heat for 7 - 10 minutes. Add the cornstarch mixture to the liquid and cook, stirring for 3 to 3 minutes more. Serve with rice.
